I received an exciting notification a few days ago.  WordPress let me know that I had reached 500 followers on my little blog.  It’s amazing really, since only a handful of those that follow me are people that I have met in real life.  Most I have never met before! Well, not yet anyway.  We are currently formulating plans to travel to Ireland, Scotland, and England where I will finally meet some of these amazing people that I have come to call friends thanks to blogging.

So, dear followers.  How do I keep you around?  Do I stick with the same flavour of Kool-Aid that I have been serving this past year?  Is there something you want to hear more about?  Suggestions are welcome and encouraged!

I can assure you, there will be plenty more posts about my husband, my daughters and of course Jack the Dog and Newt the Cat.  Hopefully, the next year will be filled with more adventures.  Like our trip to St Moritz where I didn’t actually see much of St. Moritz.  Or that time Dirk and I went to the Christmas Markets and nearly froze to death.  I might even share some more posts about the fun times we have had with my in-laws, like the time we went shopping with Jurgen and Waltroud.

Thank you so much for coming along with us on our journey abroad.  Please feel free to share my blog with others that may enjoy my ramblings about life in Germany.  Sharing is caring!!

  1. Congratulations! That’s wonderful.

If or when you notice more cultural differences between the U.S. and Germany, I’d love to read about what it was you noticed and how those two countries differ. I believe there was a post here on that topic that first convinced me to subscribe. It’s so interesting to compare various cultures and countries.

    1. Thanks Lydia, I will be sure to include those things. I have written about the lack of body shaming here in Germany compared to living in the US. Also the differences in parenting, the lack of helicopter parents here, and how nice it is to see kids outside playing without adults hovering above them.

  2. Congrats on your 500! Going forward I’d say stick to what you’re doing, it’s obviously working for you!
Hope you enjoy it here in England when you visit 🙂

Keep doing what you are doing. I love your posts about language learning…but I love it all, so whatever you write I’ll keep reading.
