I know, I know. Another book post. Already? Yep, another. I found this one over at The Reading Addict and thought I would give it a go.
What are 1-3 of your favourite books of all time?
The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley
The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien
Hearts in Atlantis by Stephen King
What are 1-3 of your favourite authors of all time?
JRR Tolkien
Neil Gaimon
Anne Rice
But this list changes with my moods, just like my favourite books do.
Who is your favourite female character from a book?
Sookie Stackhouse, created by Charlaine Harris. What’s not to love?
Who is your favourite male character from a book?
Burke, a dark hero created by Andrew Vachss.
What’s your favourite fictional world?
This is a tough one. Probably the World of Harry Potter, or maybe Narnia. Quite possibly, Tolkien’s world as well. I also really love the worlds that Anne Rice has created as well. So many fantastic places to disappear in.
What book has your favourite book cover?
This is tough, as cover art changes every few years. But, I do really love the cover of this book.
What’s your favourite book-to-movie adaptation?
Stardust by Neil Gaimon. I love the book and love the movie. I’m not even sure how many times I have re-watched it anymore. It’s just fantastic!
If you could make any book into a movie, which would it be?
It’s a series by Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman called the Death Gate Cycle. I think it would be a great HBO or Netflix series. Haplo is another of my favourite male characters.
What was your favourite childhood book?
Stand Back Said the Elephant, I am Going to Sneeze by Patricia Thomas
Fantasy or Sci-fi (or neither)?
Definitely, Fantasy. But I do read some SCI-FI occasionally. Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep is a long time favourite of mine.
Well, I won’t tag anyone, but I would love to hear some of your answers. It’s a great way to hear about new/old books to read. Let me know what you think in the comments, or write a post of your own and tag me!
I love reading your blog, you are a great writer. Stay in touch 😊

I’ve found that when I have nothing in my life to write about, book tag blogs fill in the void.

They are good to use when there is nothing else to write

I also loved Hearts in Atlantis; it had such an unusual quality…
I read mainly mysteries but have enjoyed some fantasy by Alice Hoffman.

Oh, the world of Narnia. Magical, for sure! “So many fantastic places to disappear in.” Yes! What would we have done without books the last year or more!?

Hmm, reading lots of different stuff lately. Naomi Novik’s Temeraire series, Mary Robinette Kowal’s The Lady Astronauts series, Martha Wells Murderbot series, anything by John Scalzi, like the Rivers of London series by Ben Aaronovich, Abir Mukerjhee’s mysteries, Louse Penny, I could go on!
