Just a little bit about us…

Hello!  I am Cherie, wife of Dirk, mom to Sierra and Cheyenne.  We have just moved to Germany from the United States!!!   Dirk is a tattoo artist, and we previously owned a small tattoo shop in Michigan.  Sierra is a cosmetologist, and Cheyenne just graduated high school. Up until very recently, I was employed as a registered nurse.  I have worked as a nurse for about 16 years and have officially reached the “burn out stage” of nursing. It was time for a big change, so here we are, living abroad in Germany!

Welcome to our new life!! We are living abroad in a new country, with a new language and all kinds of new adventures that are waiting for us!

*A little update here. 03-02-18

The new tattoo shop has been up and running in Brühl, Germany.  You can check out our FB site here for Art of the Needle.  If you are in the area, please stop by!

Sierra stayed in Germany for 6 months and then decided it wasn’t for her.  She moved back to Michigan in January and is doing well.

Cheyenne is busy with her internship at the local Vet office and is still taking German language classes with me.

We also have a new addition to the family.  His name is Newt, and he is the ruling cat here at the house.

We are still loving this new adventure!  I hope you will read along, and enjoy the adventures with us!

Update time!  13/3/2021

Wow!  Time flies, and this page needs and update, badly

We have spent the past year in and out of lock down due to the crazy, global pandemic.

Cheyenne is now working on an apprenticeship at a bakery, her plans are to become a pastry chef.

We have another addition to the family.  Her name is Binx, or Binxy Cat.  She is a tiny black cat with a HUGE personality. She has no fear, and loves her brothers Jack and Newt.  Newt is not overly thrilled that Binxy Cat exists, but he has really started to play a lot more.  Baby steps.

We Moved!  Yes, after a few years living in the 4th floor apartment in Huerth, we found a lovely home in Weilerswist.  It is FANTASTIC.  It has so much more space, and best of all, a HUGE garden!  We can have a proper veggie garden, and still have room for Jack to run zoomies!

I hope you are enjoying following along with our adventures here in Deutschland!
